GREAT MAX WEDGE REPLACEMENT HEADS The is a wonderful head for Pro Street to Drag Racing. Works well with 12.5-1 compressions and up. The best use is for 450 cid to 540 cid bracket engines, 650HP - 850HP with 2.190 x 1.810 valves. The as cast 310cc heads flow 312cfm while the CNC 325cc heads flow 370cfm. Assembled heads come with 1.550 springs for hydraulic, solid or roller cams (Must Furnish Cam Specs When Ordering). The 440-1 uses stock exhaust bolt pattern but has raised exhaust ports. The 440-C cast iron head is the same head as the 440-1 aluminum except for the weight. Engine will weigh 80 lbs more when built with 440-C cast iron heads. The CNC 345cc head is recommended for 4.375 bore. This 345cc head flows 380cfm and will produce over 900HP with 2.250 x 1.810 valves. Perfect head for pro street supercharger applications. |
On all complete assembly packages, it is very possible that the valve springs are not correct for your camshaft. All valve springs should be checked for compatibility to your camshaft. Severe wear of valve train components and severe engine damage could result from failure to do this. Check spring requirements before heads are installed on the engine. If in doubt please contact your camshaft manufacturer or USA Performance Parts. We do carry optional springs for all of your needs.
