With the introduction of the new 8B 5000 series aluminum block, Brodix has taken the 5.00 bore spaceing market to the next level. The 8B 5000 combines the size and durability of a 5.00 bore spacing block with the convenience and availability of it's 4.480 std bore spacing counterpart. These blocks are 100% CNC machined and employ the same technology that has made Brodix the undisputed leader in aluminum block development.

Blocks have the cam raised 1.00 inch for extra crankshaft & rod clearance. It will clear a 5.375 stroke without machining and 5.750 stroke with additional machining. Lifter bores are .903 standard with optional 1.062 upgrade. Big Block Ford babbit cam bearings are standard with available options of 55mm babbit, roller bearings of Big Block Ford, 50mm, 55mm & 60mm. 4.585 bore is standard. Thick wall sleeves with 1/4 inch registers allow bore sizes up to 4.700 and special sleeves & machining may be available for 4.750 bore.
