The BRODIX BB-3 XTRA heads take conventional big block Chevrolet technology one step further. These heads feature a 24 degree valve angle that is rolled 2° from the standard location and specially designed intake and exhaust ports. Chambers are 119cc or 115cc.
The BB-3 XTRA is available in several configurations, such as a CNC ported 366 cc rectangle port, an out-of-the-box 363 cc rectangle port, and a CNC ported 351 cc oval port. The 363cc as cast head flows 389 cfm at .800" lift and the CNC 366cc & 351cc oval flow over 420 cfm at .900" lift. For a flow chart click on Technical Information below.
Standard features include: high velocity intake ports, efficient combustion chambers, extra thick deck, high valve cover rail, and the best castings in the business. Most of the standard components can still be used. These are also available with 1.645 OD triple springs for .850" max lift All Bare Heads from Brodix DO NOT have valve jobs done or guides honed. |
On all complete assembly packages, it is very possible that the valve springs are not correct for your camshaft. All valve springs should be checked for compatibility to your camshaft. Severe wear of valve train components and severe engine damage could result from failure to do this. Check spring requirements before heads are installed on the engine. If in doubt please contact your camshaft manufacturer or USA Performance Parts. We do carry optional springs for all of your needs.
