Dart's New SHP Assembled Short Blocks are the ultimate value for your Big Block chevy engine project. Simplify engine building with pre-engineered, dyno tested short block combinations from Dart's Special High Performance group. These quality component packages are designed to allow you to build powerful and durable engines at a very affordable cost.
This 540 cid short blocks starts with a new Dart Iron Eagle Sportsman block and is plate honed for exceptional ring seal and long life and internally balanced. They come standard with cast steel crankshafts, forged pistons with full floating pins, forged 4340 I-Beam rods, Hastings plasma rings, Clevite bearings and coated cam bearings.
